Flags are useful when you want to focus on particular work orders. You can add flags to any work order, as long as it is available in Production Scheduling. Since flags are a visual indicator applied to work orders, you and your team can assign any meaning you want to flags. A friendly reminder to discuss and share the definitions that you and your team have assigned to flags, so that you can all easily apply flags to work orders.
There are two main methods to add or remove flags to work orders:
1. Add flags to work blocks on the schedule
If you want to add a flag to a work block on the schedule, please follow these steps:
- Right-click on the work block that you want to add a flag to
- Select Flags from the drop-down menu
- Select a flag to add to this work order
- Select Remove Flag to remove a flag that has been applied to the work block
Result: The selected flag will be added to, or removed from, the specified work order. Also, Production Scheduling will add and remove flags for all work blocks that belong to the same work order.
2. Add flags to work order cards in the list of work orders
If you cannot find the work order that you want to add a flag to, you can use the search bar. To add flags to work orders, please follow these steps:
- Use the search bar to locate the work order that you want to add a flag to
- In the work orders list, locate the specific work order card
- Click the three dots at the top right corner of the card
- Select Flags from the drop-down menu
- Select a flag to add to the work order
- Select Remove flag to remove a flag that has been applied to the work order
Result: The selected flag will be added to, or removed from, the specified work order. Also, Production Scheduling will add and remove flags to all work blocks that belong to the same work order.
